I’ve grown up with Jennifer Lopez all over my radio and TV. Seriously, one of her movies is always playing on TBS or TNT, right? I like Jenny From the Block, but I’ve never really thought of her as a softie or overly emotional. I mean, she’s fierce and sings about staying real and being from the block in Bronx.
I love that after all of these years of J. Lo being around, “American Idol” seems to have brought out her softer side to most of us. On the show, she’s often critical, but very kind and helpful. She’s also encouraging and isn’t afraid to shed a few tears.
After La’Porsha Renae’s stirring performance of Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama,” J. Lo not only gave the singer a standing ovation, she could barely speak because she was so deeply moved by the moment.
