If you weren’t a young woman coming of age in the early aughts, you might not remember the brilliantly annoying, “Simple Life” starring former besties Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

The first season was set in beautiful Ozark, Arkansas and featured the socialites working at the local Sonic.

The family the girls lived with were so pure and simple that actually pronounced it, “the Sonics.” Just like my grandmother and maybe yours, too.

After the first season, Paris and Nicole took the show on the road– literally. Eventually, they found themselves in the living room of Ke$sha, her mother Pebe Sebert and brother Louis.

At the time, Ke$ha was still spelling her name with an “s” and she hadn’t yet brushed her teeth with jack.

During the episode, Paris and Nicole are tasked with finding Pebe a gentleman suitor with the help of Ke$ha.

Ke$ha just dropped her much-anticipated third studio album, Rainbow, which features Dolly Parton on the track, “Old Flames (Can’t Hold a Candle to You).

The song was originally released in 1980 off of Parton’s Dolly, Dolly, Dolly album and was, you guessed it– co-written by Parton and Ke$ha’s mom.
