For week nine of “Dancing with the Stars,” contestants were challenged to dance to a number from a Broadway musical. With only five couples left and the stakes only getting higher, everyone brought their A-game — especially Laurie Hernandez and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Dancing to “Chicago”s “Cell Block Tango,” the two left everything they had on the “DWTS” stage. Though she’s only 16 years old and not professionally a dancer, it was easy to forget that Laurie doesn’t perform dance routines for a living.

In the video package beforehand, Laurie admitted that she was nervous about the “sexiness” and “spiciness” of the number and even joked saying, “Should we ask my mom?” But, despite the nerves, the Olympic gymnast danced her heart out and left the stage with her third perfect score of the season.

Impressive.
