The reigning Entertainer of the Year, Luke Bryan, isn’t a lock to repeat, but you shouldn’t bet against him either. The competition is stiff, but here’s why Luke Bryan should win:
He’s Truly An Entertainer
Here’s the thing– this guy is a performer. How many male country singers, or country singers period, are known for their dancing? Sure, the gyrating is a little much at times, but for the most part– fans love it. A lot. He’s been on tour all year and didn’t miss a beat at any show. Fans filled the seats and he delivered, time and time again. He brings a lot to the stage that other guys in this category don’t.
He’s Got the Hits
Crash My Party has been nominated for Album of the Year and has consistently been in the Top 5 since its release last August. He’s sold almost 2 million copies of it and each single he releases seems to run, not walk to the top of the charts.
He’s the Headliner for Bro-Country
Arguably, this sub-genre is the biggest thing in the country game right now and Luke is kind of the poster boy for it. He didn’t invent it, but he’s keeping the wheels turning and hits coming. He’s got about 14 artists trying to emulate his every move right now and it probably won’t be long before we see somewhere else trying to create a signature move, a la Luke‘s hip shaking.
It’s going to be a tight race, but you can vote for Luke every single day until April 6th.
