Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman Reunite for New NBC Show and You Can Be On It

This is a day for celebration! Everyone to JJ’s, waffles are on me! ‘Parks & Recreation’ alums Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson) and Amy Poehler (Leslie Knope) are reuniting for a new NBC reality series called ‘The Handmade Project’. Think Top Chef but for crafts: instead of serious chefs critiquing your hollandaise, Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope will be making jokes about your knitting.

“People who make things are my favorite kind of folk. Practical, clever and terrific in a pinch,” added Offerman. “That makes me tickled pink to have a front-row seat at this prodigious display of talent, and admiring and cheering on an amazing crop of American makers. Plus, Amy and I have a strong tradition of tomfoolery, so let’s see if we don’t have some good fun.”

“I’m thrilled to be celebrating artists who make things by hand, and I’m looking forward to finally conquering my fear of paper mache,” Poehler said in a statement Tuesday.

The show is currently casting for it’s first season and is looking for skilled and motivated makers to get the show started on the right foot. If you have skills, get over there and get crafting!
