It was an evening of moving forward during Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit concert. And Pharrell Williams was just one of the superstars on stage leading the charge.
Before being joined by Miley Cyrus to perform his mega-hit, “Happy,” Pharrell bowed to the crowd and told them, “I’m bowing because, despite all of the things that have been going on in this place, I don’t feel or smell or hear or see any fear in this building. All we feel tonight is love, resilience and positivity.”
The 50,000 people in attendance were then surprised by Miley. The show took place at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground and was held less than 24 hours after a deadly terrorist attack in London. One Love Manchester proceeds are going to those affected by the attack that killed 22 people and wounded more than 100 at Ariana’s May 22 show.
