Property Brothers Say There is No Feud with Chip and Joanna Gaines (Which, Is a Little Disappointing)

During a recent New York Times profile of the Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, one minor sentence amongst hundreds sparked controversy. The celebrity feud kind of controversy– my favorite.

The sentence? The Scotts asked the Gaineses to appear on an episodes of “Brother vs. Brother” in Galveston, but they were busy.

That brief quip led to the ‘Property Brothers’ deny ‘Fixer Upper’ feud: ‘We’re one big family’ headline on Fox News, with a few more quips that lead me to believe there is a feud and HGTV should be loving it because who doesn’t love a good HGTV feud?

The Fox News article has Drew explaining they’ve only met Chip and Joanna a few times, “”We know a lot of the [HGTV] talent really well. Our show started airing in 2011 and over that time we’ve met [Chip and Joanna] once or twice. They were really nice.”

But, he did have to throw that line in there about when their show started airing versus how long “Fixer Upper” has been on the air.

Drew also wanted to explain the differences between the now rivals, “Chip and Joanna keep it to where they live in Waco and do their own thing, where Drew and I, we travel around.”

Sounds like a feud to me.
