Bachelor Nation, it’s official– the next “Bachelorette” will be Rachel Lindsay.
Longtime show host and non-aging Chris Harrison appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to make the announcement, making this the first time in history that “The Bachelor” has jumped the gun and revealed the outcome early, as Lindsay is technically still competing in the current season.
The 31 year-old Dallas attorney will be the first African American lead in the franchise’s 33-season history, with 21 seasons of “The Bachelor” and 12 of “The Bachelorette.”
Lindsay has been a fan-favorite from the beginning of the current “The Bachelor” season, having received the first impression rose from Nick Viall, most likely due to her bubbly personality.
Viall shared this adorable message on his Instagram regarding the announcement.
