James Corden is very self-aware. And he’s just aware. He recently told his “Late Late Show” audience that there aren’t enough male artists out there doing sensual, sexy vocals any more. Even though he’s doing his part, telling viewers, “I did my part. I brought sexy back to late night. I think I’m the sexiest male vocalist alive. I believe I’ve got a sensualness and sexuality in my voice…”

That, of course, was when he was interrupted by Usher and the sexiest male vocalist riff-off began.

Usher asked James the tough question– “when people imagine, smooth, sensual, soulful voices are they going to picture a guy like you or a guy like me, Usher?”

Gotta let it burn, James. Gotta let it burn.

After James sang everyone’s favorite junior high slow dance song, “All My Life” from K-Ci and JoJo, Usher simply started his battle by saying, “wow. Someone get this guy a Tic-Tac.”

Usher sang Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy Mercy Me,” before Luke Evans came in to bring his sexy Foreigner cover to life.
