After a judge ruled against releasing Kesha Rose Sebert from her record contract with Dr. Luke,  Taylor Swift and other powerful women in the music industry are stepping in to show their support for the singer.

Kesha sued Dr. Luke in 2014 for ongoing abuse, including drugging and raping her a decade ago. She was asking for  an injunction to make music outside her six-album contract with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records.

While many singers tweeted their support for Kesha, Swift stepped up and donated $250,000 to help cover any legal costs moving forward.

“In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time,” Taylor’s spokesperson told E! News.

Kesha’s mom took to Twitter to thank the global superstar for the support.

Kesha has also taken to Twitter to thank everyone for their support.
