This is Country Outfitter Style’s weekly recap of  ”The Voice.” We’re covering it all season!

It’s night two of the playoffs and according to Carson, “everything is on the line.” Seems dramatic, but it’s “go live or go home.” Truly the only place you can use that phrase, though I may try it on some friends soon.

Kristen: She’s chosen “Two Black Cadillacs” by Carrie Underwood and if you mute your TV it kind of looks like Eminem is singing. Kristen is a performer and she’s really feeling this song. Blake called her flawless and Usher loves her. Shakira is “thrilled” and “happy.”

Deja: This tiny little teen has picked “Battlefield” by Jordin Sparks. She chose it to show the “aggressive” side of her voice. I have a lot of personal memories connected to this song, so I’m nervous for her. Shakira wants her to look brave when she sings, so she is advising her as she’s actually heading to a battlefield. Her performance was better than anything I could’ve put together, but for some reason, I wasn’t blown away. Blake and Usher loved her, but not a lot. They had a lot of advice for her.

Regina: She’s a former NFL cheerleader and now she’s in school for political science. I hope that means she wants to run for office someday. This could be good prep for that. Tess chose “Human” by Christina Perry. I’m afraid I’ve never heard this song, but I’m impressed with Tess’ performance. She’s good. Everyone loves her and is sad they cut her or didn’t steal her originally.

Patrick: The man with the hair has chosen “Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne. Shakira reminds us that she didn’t care for him at all during the blinds, but now she’s totally on board with him. For good reason– his voice is as unique as anyone, not just on the show, but period. Everyone loves him.

Dani: The former PR rep has chosen Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” and Shakira thinks she chose it because Dani is actually on the cusp of something. She’s literally on the edge of something. Dani feels like she needs to “sing for her life,” which worries me that someone threatened her or something if she doesn’t move on! It’s nice to see someone play an instrument and I kind of dig this version of this song.

MOVING ON: Tess, Kristen and Dani

No real shockers there!

Delvin: Adam tells us that Delvin has an incredible story, but then we were just shown recaps of the previous shows, so I don’t know what he was talking about. Delvin has chosen “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. Adam sang it a little during rehearsals and that’s a song I’d for sure listen to. The performance was pretty good, but I’m very distracted by his hair. Not in a bad way, just distracted. Adam and Usher loved Delvin. Adam thinks his team is the team to beat this season. Blake does not agree.

Jake: He has chosen a Maroon 5 song in, “She Will Be Loved.” I don’t know if this is the smartest thing he’s ever done or the worst idea in the world. If Beyonce was sitting in front of me, would I ask her if we could do the “Single Ladies” dance or just chat about life? I don’t know, I just don’t know. How can Adam even give real advice? I’m leaning towards this being a bad choice. His performance confirms my suspicions. He wasn’t spectacular and who do the judges have him to compare to? Only the guy sitting right there. They were nice to him, but you could tell no one was super into him.

Kat: The rocker, turned nanny, trying to be a rocker again has chosen “Open Arms” by Journey. Classic. She is dedicating this to her dad. Which, makes me wonder what song I would dedicate to my dad if I was The Voice. I know it wouldn’t be a Journey song, but to each his own! She was good and everyone loved her. Everyone stood up. Usher thinks Kat should be proud of herself, which also kind of sounded like a backwards scolding. Usher called her “flawless,” which he’s already done tonight.

Morgan: Finally, we have a country song tonight, as Morgan has chosen “Stay” by Florida Georgia Line. For some reason, he thinks people are going to be “surprised” by his song choice. I’m guessing the producers told him to say that. Adam calls him “naturally incredible.” I would love it if someone said that to me, because that is a really nice thing to say. His performance kind of sounded like Creed was singing Florida Georgia Line.

Christina: We’re told that Christina is “the Internet sensation from New Jersey.” I’m proud and jealous of her all at the same time, because I want nothing more than to be an Internet sensation. She has chosen “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz. She’s dedicating it to her mom. Did I miss the other contestants’ song dedications? I would definitely dedicate “Video Killed the Radio Star” to my mom, because she really hated that I made her listen to that on repeat for the better part of 1995. Wore that cassette tape out! She was really, really good. Blake called her the best on Adam’s team.

MOVING ON: Christina, Delvin and Kat

And that’s that! Tonight is the last round of the playoffs.
