Country Outfitter Style’s “The Voice” recap. For last week’s recaps, go here and here

Note: Last we tried recapping the “highs” and “lows” of each episode, but we’re going with a different routine this time around by just recapping each performance.

For those of you keeping score, heading into night three, these are the team numbers:

Usher: 4 artists

Shakira: 3 artists

Blake: 2 artists

Adam: 4 artists (1 duo)

The performance last night offered up a variety of genres, with much fewer turn arounds than last week. Let’s recap.

Ryan White Maloney // Lights: I think my favorite part of this guy’s song was Blake awkwardly swaying back and forth, while trying not to sing along. Also, Steve Perry? Like, STEVEN Perry of Aerosmith? Can we just start calling Bono, Bon, now?

Chairs turned: 4

Coach choice: Blake

Deshawn Washington // Twistin the Night Away: Interesting song pick considering it’s 2014 and no one has spent the evening twisting the night away in the last 30 years. Only Shakira turns around for the young crooner. Usher doesn’t turn and calls himself, “stupid.” Once everyone turns around and realizes he’s a young, good looking guy they think they are missing out on a young, good looking guy that could get some votes.

Chairs turned: 1

Coach choice: Shakira

Sam Behymar // Royals: Adam is super impressed with this song no one has ever heard before… in the last 30 seconds. Honestly, at times the performance was a little creepy, which made it a lot like the original, which maybe that is what she was going for!

Chairs turned: 2

Coach choice: Adam

Brendan Ryan // Love on Top: This guy is smart. He’s a guy singing a Beyonce song. Everyone loves Beyonce, except the judges. No chairs turned around.

Cody and Clint Walker // Keep Me in Mind: I like that the lead in for these twins, was “We met Johnny Cash. Oh yeah, we played for him, too.” Mostly, while watching them perform, I wanted to attend family gatherings with them (but, not necessarily listen to them sing a lot). They don’t have guitars or pianos or anything getting in the way of them just be-bopping around the stage together. They seem like fun, Usher thinks so too, as he’s the only coach that turns around.

Chairs turned: 1

Coach choice: Usher

Clarissa Serna // Zombies: Shakira is digging it from the beginning, but Adam beats her to the button. However, Shakira finally goes for the button, she hits it so hard that I thought she might’ve broken her hand. After Shakira turns around, she stands up and dances throughout the rest of the performance. Finally, all the chairs turn around.

Chairs turned: 4

Coach choice: Shakira

Robert Lee // The Weight: Mostly, I like Robert because he explained to me what a mailman does. I don’t think that hat was his choice either. Someone definitely made him put it on. He was good, but not that good and no one turned around.

Melissa Jiminez // If I Ain’t Got You: First, she sings a cappella, then she goes for the Spanish lyrics to try and lure Shakira into a turn. Usher and Shakira turn around for “Everyone calls me MJ!”

Chairs turned: 2

Coach choice: Usher

Patrick Thomson // Can’t See You: It takes a little while, but Adam and Blake both turn around. It’s fairly obvious that Adam mostly turns around to annoy Blake, though Patrick is pretty decent. Adam calls him “gritty” and that is his main compliment, especially after saying he heard “no direction.” Blake just likes him.

Chairs turned: 2

Coach choice: Adam

Allison Bray // Where The Boys Are: Allison goes old school to mix it up a little. Apparently, it wasn’t enough mixing– no one turned around for her. I think, once the judges saw that she had the looks to help her vocals, they were a little disappointed in themselves.

Sisaundra Lewis // Ain’t No Way: So, Sisaundra has the largest earrings ever seen on a reality television show. She worked with Celine Dion through five major tours. Working with Celine is no kick in the pants. Carson even showed Sisaundra a video wish from Celine. Obviously, this chick has pipes. It took a little while, but everyone eventually turned. They all fight over her and she chooses Blake. Because? Why not mix it up!

Chairs turned: 4

Coach choice: Blake

Overall, the night had some pretty decent performances, but truly no one just mind-blowing. Minus, Sisaundra. She was incredible.
