This is Country Outfitter Style’s weekly recap of  ”The Voice.” We’re covering it all season!

This is “The Voiiiiiiiiiiiiice” finals! This episode will feature two individual performances, plus a duet performance between each contestant and coach. Basically, it’s a lot. I’ll try to keep up, but there are no guarantees in life OR reality TV. I think my grandmother said that once.

Christina: Her fan favorite pick is “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus. Also, I think Christina got braces in the last week. I hope this doesn’t hurt her performance.

Why would you get braces the week you’re competing for a reality television show championship?

Per the usual, Christina was good. However, this performance didn’t blow me out of the water like her last few.

Josh: For Josh’s first performance he’s going with the Police’s “Every Breath You Take.” Usher will be joining him. We got to see a lot of their rehearsal and I think they really enjoy each other. If not, Usher is an incredible actor.

What a strange song for two men to sing to each other. Obviously, I really liked it though! I didn’t like the dry ice clouds on the stage though. “The Voice” prop department has no limits.

Jake: The fan favorite for Jake is “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Keith Whitley. A little bit, Jake sounds like he’s spent a lot of time in a gas station lately. His voice has gotten so rugged. It’s like he’s grown up right before our eyes!

Because this show could never be a normal amount of time, we were treated to a performance by Shakira and Blake Shelton. “Medicine” is a pretty catchy number, it’s just funny to see Blake bounce around stage next to a scantily-clad Shakira.

Josh: His fan favorite performance is “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder. He has his hat back on, so that’s pretty disappointing.

Josh sings the way you wish your dad did.

Christina: The duet between Christina and Adam is “Somebody That You Used to Know” by Goyte. Christina just wants to make Adam proud. I would be really proud of Adam if he dyed his back to brown. The performance was good, but I have trouble listening to that all the way through these days.

Jake: Blake begins to call Jake the little brother he never had. He has chosen “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx for Jake to sing. Blake says he’s emotional during Jake’s rehearsals, so I’m anxious to hear the entire song. It was good.

Usher and Adam performed together.

Jake: The duet for Blake and Jake is “Country Boy Can Survive” by Hank Williams Jr. Of course, it is. Jake says it’s one of his favorite songs ever.

I think Blake went a little extra twangy for this song, but it worked. I imagine this one will make some cash on iTunes tomorrow.

Christina: During her in-depth interview with Carson, Christina told us that she “doesn’t do safe.” To prove this she chose “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.

By the time she was done singing this song I kind of forgot Elvis sang the original version. Just kidding. But, this girl really understands how to make something her own. It’s going to be a treat to hear her original songs!

Josh: During Josh’s in-depth Carson interview he revealed that he has watched a finale before. This is groundbreaking information.

Josh is singing “Set Fire to the Rain” by Adele. He’s wearing an all-white outfit. His microphone and mic stand are also all white. Everything is white. MINUS HIS SHOES. The props department decorated the stage like a weird funeral/sacrificial offering. It was troubling, but the performance was good. Obviously. This guy could sing the ABCs and I’d listen. At least once. He ended his performance by singing his heart out on his knees and Usher applauded for what seemed like the entire performance.

At this point, it’s anybody’s to win. My gut tells me it won’t be Jake, but then again, he appeals to the most wide-range of people. We’ll find out tonight!
