Timothy Olyphant dropped by “The Tonight Show” recently to talk about his role as a country singer in the off-Broadway play, “Hold On To Me Darling.” Although Olyphant has experience tackling the roles of rough country types in the shows “Justified,” and “Deadwood,” this character finds him as a country music superstar, which is a little out of his realm. Olyphant also describes the play as “painfully funny.” Which, how could it not be when the main character’s name is “Strings McCrane?”

The play is at the Atlantic Theater and is is running until April 17th.
