Tori Kelly Performing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” For Ellen Will Leave You Speechless

Armed with a Fender and a microphone, Tori Kelly took to the “Ellen Show” to perform Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” like it was her own and she’s been doing it for decades.

Cohen’s tune is one of the most covered songs of all-time. The original song was released in 1984 by Cohen, before Jeff Buckley got a hold of it. It’s been covered so many times, it’s even the subject of a book, “The Holy or the Broken: Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley & the Unlikely Ascent of ‘Hallelujah’.”

But, Kelly’s version for the movie “Sing” is simple and sincere. It’s grand in all the right places and reverent too.

This cover can go right up there with all the other stunning covers.
