The Pioneer Woman’s Caramel Recipe is Insanely Easy and You’ll Want to Put It on Everything


Can we get a quick hallelujah for The Pioneer Woman? I’m convinced she can do no wrong. I also feel the same way about caramel, so this recipe gives us the best of both worlds! It’s simple, quick, and calls for ingredients you likely already have on hand.

The Pioneer Woman’s Super Easy Caramel Sauce:


  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of half-and-half
  • 4 tbsp of butter
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
In a saucepan on medium heat, mix your brown sugar, half-and-half, butter and salt. Whisk for 5 to 7 minutes, then add the vanilla and cook for one minute to thicken.Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool slightly. Pour the sauce into a jar with a seal top, and refrigerate until cold!
