I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a sucker for all of the Pumpkin-inspired recipes that come around every fall. Granted, I’ve seen my fair share of ridiculous Pumpkin Spice products and not-so-tasty recipes, but this is one you won’t want to miss.

It’d be perfect to make for game day, a Thanksgiving get together, or just because! It’s packed with fall flavors and has bacon. Win-win.

Pumpkin Hard Cider Cheese Dip Recipe:

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 4 tbsp. butter, unsalted
  • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 12 oz. hard cider
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp. dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Chives, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt (to taste)
Cook your bacon as you normally would until it’s brown and crisp, then set aside. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, and whisk in the flour and garlic. Cook until mixed for about two minutes. Whisk in the cider, pumpkin puree, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, pumpkin pie spice and cayenne until it’s all blended together and smooth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened (about 3 minutes).
Whisk in the cream cheese and cheddar until it’s all melted and smooth. Transfer the dip to a bowl and top with your bacon and chives. Serve with apples, bread, or crackers and enjoy!
