If you’re looking for a festive drink to share with your friends this Halloween night, look no further than the Toasted Medusa.

Created by head bartender Zach Sasser of the Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar in Austin, Texas, the Toasted Medusa, a festive Medusa-inspired cocktail, contains Del Maguey Vida mezcal, Tia Maria dark liqueur, Black and Blue cold brew, toasted house pumpkin meringue, shaved cinnamon and orange curls.

The orange curls clearly represent the living venomous snakes that filled in for the hair of Medusa. Not as creepy, but you get the point. This tasty cocktail is just the right touch to add to the festive decor of your Halloween party.

1 oz. Del Maguey Vida mezcal
1 oz. Tia Maria dark liqueur
5 oz. Black and Blue cold brew
Three large spoonsful of toasted pumpkin meringu

Layer all ingredients in a snifter glass
Gently spoon the meringue into the base drink
With a torch, toast the meringue until golden brown
Shave a cinnamon stick over the top of the meringue
Using a peeler, strip a large piece of skin from an orange
With a paring knife, cut as thinly as possible and twist the orange strings
Insert on end of the orange strings into the toasted meringue allowing the rest to flow freely, like Medusa’s snake hair
