2-in-1 Spiced Cider and Potpourri Recipe You Need To Try This Fall

The only thing I love more than eating and drinking my way through fall is smelling my way through it, and this 2-in-1 recipe for stovetop potpourri and spiced cider is officially my new obsession for fall!

The recipe is easy to follow and can be tweaked to your taste (or smell) preferences!

DIY 2-in-1 Stovetop Spiced Cider and Potpourri Recipe:

  • 1 tsp dried orange peel
  • 1 whole orange peel
  • 4 star anise
  • 1 tsp cardamon pods
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • 1 apple, halved
  • 5 cups of water (for potpourri)
  • 5 cups of apple juice (for cider)
Potpourri Directions:
Combine ingredients in a large pot and add 5 cups of water. Place on the stove and bring to a simmer, letting it sit for about 1-2 hours on low heat, then take off the lid and enjoy the aroma!
Cider Directions:

Follow the same directions as above, but use 5 cups of apple juice instead of water! Serve warm or over ice.
