Blackberry lemonade is a classic southern drink. Tart, sweet, and delicious all at once, it’s a staple of many summer parties. This blackberry lemonade has adult flair to it, with a splash of whiskey and a rosemary sprig for garnish. Ingredients:
For the Blackberry Simple Syrup:
- 12 oz. fresh blackberries
- ½ cup sugar
For the Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade:
- 7.5 oz. whiskey
- 7.5 oz. lemon juice
- 1 large rosemary sprig
- 6 oz. blackberry simple syrup
Simple Syrup:
Place blackberries and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, then cook for 20-30 minutes until berries are soft and you have a thick syrup.
Strain syrup to get rid of seeds, and discard the pulp. Let cool before you make the drinks.
Lemonade:
Combine everything in a large shaker with a few ice cubes. Shake, then serve.
