When Christina and Tarek El Moussa announced that they were getting a divorce, many fans of their HGTV show, “Flip or Flop,” wondered if the show would go on, considering Christina and Tarek would have to work together.
Today, the two continue to make “Flip or Flop” work, though they both will admit it’s had its fair share of awkward moments. But now, Christina is taking on another HGTV venture of her very own: “Christina on the Coast.”
“I’m excited to do my own thing,” she told People. “It’s going to be fun and light-hearted. I feel like it’s a win-win.”
According to People, Christina’s new design series will showcase her design talents as she renovates her own home and as she helps others redecorate their outdated properties. Christina recently sold her California mansion, so fans will get an inside look as she decorates her new space for her and her two kids.
“I’ll be able to do what I like more which is the design part,” she said. “That’s always been what I’m good at, and people are always asking me to come help them do their house. It’s going to be fun to be able to add my taste, and not have a flip budget.”
Filming for the show has just begun, so a premiere date hasn’t been announced— but we can’t wait to hear more!
