Cookie Bars Are Our New Favorite Way To Eat Cookies

Sometimes you just really want cookies, but you don’t want to put in the effort to make every last one. Maybe you’re in a rush to have something ready for after dinner, or maybe it’s Friday night and you’re desperate for a dessert without leaving the house (we’ve all been there).

This cookie bar recipe is all of the decadent happiness of cookies without the extra effort. Perfect for a lazy evening with a super intense sugar craving. Try these out and never suffer again.


  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour sifted
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. baking soda
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Melt butter in microwave safe bowl. Let cool.

Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, and egg.

Add dry ingredients slowly, and blend. Pour into 9×9 greased pan.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips and bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
