According to MSN, around 72% of land in the United States is privately owned, and a significant amount of that land is controlled by families and individuals– and Ree Drummond and her family are one of them.
The Drummond’s own 433,000 acres in Oklahoma and Kansas– Scottish immigrant Frederick Drummond began the family’s cattle ranch in the late 19th century, and his three sons expanded the family ranching business during the early part of the 20th century.
At no. 23 on the Top 100 list, their family falls ahead of Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.
