Fashion and art collided in thousands of different ways during the 2018 Met Gala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The annual fundraiser is one of fashion’s most highly-anticipated events of the year and this year’s event was no different as the Costume Institute celebrated the grand opening of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
Obviously, most fashionistas stuck closely to the heavenly bodies theme, though some dared to venture into the wide world of the Catholic imagination.
The annual event was hosted by Rihanna, Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour, and Stephen and Christine Schwarzman several guests dressed in their Sunday best.
