At last night’s American Music Awards, host Tracee Ellis Ross had a lot of outfit changes (no, not as many as Carrie Underwood at the #CMAs), but her tribute outfit to her mother, Diana Ross, was without a doubt her most special look of the night.
In her fifth outfit change of the night, Tracee wore a pair of high-waisted white, wide leg pants, and a pair of rhinestone-encrusted black, heeled boots that perfectly complemented her top. In an Instagram post, Tracee shared that the top she wore was actually the top her mom wore in 1981.
“Twinning my mama Diana Ross and Michael Jackson in 1981! This is mom’s actual shirt I just wore at the AMAs! I found it in her garage,” she shared.
Yeah, definitely not what my mom has in her garage.
Diana Ross performed a medley of her greatest hits, and was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Her acceptance speech was the sweetest moment ever as her entire family (and closest friends) took the stage with her to celebrate.
