Even in the South, there will probably be a game or two that requires a little more clothing more than a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Don’t let the cold weather ruin your tailgate. Stay warm and stylish with these outfits that will give you the best of both worlds–fashion and function.

Remember to throw in a hats or gloves if it is going to be really cold.

What to Wear: Cold-Weather Tailgate:

1. Sweater and Jeans

Nothing keeps a girl warm like a cozy sweater and a pair of jeans. It’s a good idea to wear a scarf to help keep the wind out. Just make sure it matches your team colors. A comfy ankle boot is the perfect way to keep your toes warm and your style on point.

2. Sweatshirt and Jeans

For the girl who wants to be comfortable, a sweatshirt is the only way to go. Pair it with jeans and a trendy blanket scarf to stay warm but look put together. Uggs are the perfect cold weather boot to keep your feet warm.

3. Poncho and Jeans

Wearing a poncho is basically like wearing a blanket to a football game. This is one of our favorite ways to stay warm, especially when you layer it over a long-sleeved tee. Wear a casual riding boot for additional warmth. If you really want to stand out, add pops of color with your team colors.

4. Fringe and Army Green

We love a good puffy vest! And if you are the type to monogram, by all means, monogram away. We paired this with army green jeans and a buffalo plaid shirt for an classic look, but added the the fringed Minnetonka for a little bit of Boho. Bottom line is, you will be warm and comfortable.
