There are some things in life that I like to ignore, because ignorance truly is bliss. But unfortunately (and fortunately), I’m no longer ignorant to the truth about my mattress. What truth, you ask? Oh, just that it’s basically a sitting cesspool for your dead skin cells and sweat, no big deal.
But seriously, if you stop and think about it for a second, you can just imagine how filthy your mattress probably is. Sweat, dust mites, allergens, and who knows what else you bring into your bed are all collecting night after night while you unwittingly sleep soundly. Gross.
Experts recommend you clean your mattress at least twice a year, but it’s even better if you do it once per season.
How To Clean Your Mattress:
Take all the sheets and linens off of your bed and spray it down with white vinegar. Let it sit for a few hours or until it’s completely dry to the touch. When it’s dry, sprinkle baking soda on top of it, let it sit for a few minutes, and then vacuum it away. Make the bed with a clean set of sheets and enjoy a good night’s sleep.
