JJ Watt is the heart and soul of the Houston Texans. He is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He has raised over $30 million for Hurricane Harvey relief. His entire city claims to love and feel pride for him. But not even an entire stadium of roaring fans can hold a candle to the pride his 99-year-old great-grandmother has for him.
You may think that this is the pinnacle of acclaim, representing a state (sorry Cowboys fans) and the indomitable heart of a city recovering from one of the worst storms ever recovered:
But truly, that is nothing compared to Watt’s great-grandmother who proudly wore Watt’s jersey to church on Sunday.
She is currently as old as the number JJ wears, but will be turning 100 later this month.
