Joanna Gaines Honors Her Dad on Veteran’s Day: “My Dad and My Hero”

Joanna Gaines is one proud and thankful daughter this Veteran’s Day!

Joanna Gaines‘ father, Jerry Stevens, served in the army in the late ’60s. In fact, according to Joanna, he met her mother, Nan, while he was stationed in Seoul, Korea in 1969. In honor of Veteran’s Day this year, Joanna took to her Instagram to thank her dad and the rest of our troops for serve and sacrifice— along with an old photo of her mom and dad.

“Happy Veterans Day and thank you to all who served and sacrificed for this beautiful country of ours. And to my favorite Veteran of all, my dad and my hero. I love you.”

On Friday, Chip and Joanna visited “The Tonight Show” where Chip revealed the big news that he and Joanna would be heading back to TV after leaving their HGTV show, “Fixer Upper.”

“We signed a non-disclosure and it said, quote-unquote, you can tell your mother but that’s it,” Chip told Jimmy Fallon. “So mom, I just wanted to make a quick announcement, we are coming back to television. You are going to get to see the kids grow up, you are going to see us, well maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world, but we are excited to be back.”
