We take great joy in sharing these real weddings with you as they are filled with rustic wedding style, creativity, and even a few DIY country wedding ideas along the way. Our hope is that these Real Country Weddings will inspire and guide you as you plan your own country wedding.

This time we are highlighting the Real Country Wedding of Sydney and Reagan Warren who were married on September 28, 2014.

We asked her a few questions about the wedding:

What made you choose to do a rustic/country wedding?

From just a little girl, “country” was always in my roots. I had always dreamed of that moment and pretty much had every little detail lined up for that day when it was to become a reality. I knew I wanted the barn wedding, and the boots with a gorgeous lace dress. I wanted that laid-back country feel and I am grateful my husband agreed. A fancy wedding with people over dressed was not comfortable and not us and a wedding is supposed to be about us.

Tell us about your something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

Something old: My something old was my great-grandmother’s necklace, which was a surprise to me! She is no longer with us, so it hit home.

Something new: My something new was my gorgeous Allure dress and my boots!

Something borrowed: My borrowed was my mother’s wedding veil from her wedding.

Something blue: My something blue was the wedding date sewn in blue on the inside of my dress. My mother also gave me an angel pin with blue jewels that was pinned on my dress.

We see the DIY in your photos. Who was involved in helping and did you make a party out of it?

The entire wedding was DIY. I planned the wedding on my own while my fiance, now husband, was in Afghanistan. My mom, grandmother and bridesmaids created everything from the invitations, programs, centerpieces, cake designs to the bridesmaid’s dresses which were originals. Of course it was a party! I had a slumber party with a few of my girlfriends to finish the final details and bake the 200 mini pies in mason jars! I do not think I have laughed that hard in a long time, but I do not want to see another mini mason jar or pie for quite some time!

Love the way the younger boys are looking at the bride!

Their first dance was to the George Strait song, “Give It All You Got Tonight.”
