It’s hard to go wrong with honey and garlic. After all, the combination of sweet and spice is an unforgettable mix. There are tons of recipes out there for similar things, but a lot of times they take forever to cook. No one wants to spend tons of time in the kitchen slaving away, so for those nights, we have this amazing honey garlic shrimp that takes all of 20 minutes. Yes, 20 minutes. Pretty good deal, right? Try it out tonight.
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (I use reduced sodium)
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Chopped green onion for garnish
Whisk honey, garlic, and soy sauce together in a medium bowl.
Place shrimp in a container of some sort (can be a ziplock bag), pour half the marinade, and shake or stir to coat. Marinate the shrimp for 15 minutes, or 8-12 hours, depending on your preference.
Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp in skillet and get rid of used marinade. Cook on one side until you can see no pink, then flip. Pour in the rest of your marinade and cook until finished.
Serve hot with steamed rice and vegetables.
