These Sweet Potato Fries Might Be Your Easiest Side Dish Yet


Okay, so we know sweet potatoes can make for awesome toast, desserts, and casseroles. But fries? Isn’t that just a restaurant thing? Sweet potato fries are an easy and simple way to get more sweet potatoes in your diet, and they’re a lot healthier than traditional fries. Pop them in the oven, forget about them, and eat them with a classic sandwich or burger. The perfect side dish. Check out our recipe below.


  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
Combine all spices in a small bowl and set aside. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. While oven is heating, peel your sweet potatoes, and cut in half four times lengthwise to create your wedges.
In a large bowl, combine sweet potatoes, oil, and mixed spices. Toss with hands until the potatoes are evenly coated.
Arrange potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer, and place in the oven. Bake 30 minutes or until potatoes are fully cooked and edges are crispy. Serve hot.
