Woodie Guthrie’s New Year “Rulin’s” Will Help You Make 2018 Your Best Year Yet

We are halfway into the new year and some of us have already given up on our New Year’s resolutions. But that doesn’t mean it’s too late to have life changing 2018. In 1943, Woody Guthrie wrote down 33 “rulin’s” to live by over the next year that really will remind you of what matters. And you know what? Not one of ’em has to do with weight loss.

Now, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with weight loss, but sometimes it’s better to “learn people” or “dream good.” And, shoot, wouldn’t we all be better off if we danced better (#26) and stayed glad (#18)?

Guthrie saved his best advice for last, the real thing you have to focus on no matter what you are trying to achieve: wake up and fight.

Here’s to 2018, the best year yet to come.
