Dancing with the Stars took a turn on Disney night, Sunday (Oct. 14) when the judges on the show went from giving the dancers all eights as their highest score to throwing out the nine.
The first person to reach this milestone was Fifth Harmony alum Ally Brooke, who danced the Contemporary to “Beauty and the Beast” by Ariana Grande & John Legend, from the movie Beauty and the Beast.

The celebrities and dancers were tasked with creating dances from their favorite Disney movie. Ally and Sasha took on the roles of Belle and the Beast, which delated the judges, even Len Goodman.
“My darling, I have to thank you because you gave us, even Len actually, one and half minutes of absolute happiness, Bruno Tonioli said. What I like about you, you throw yourself into it with fearless commitment. You’re such an honest performer.”
Carrie Ann Inaba added, “What I love about you is, even though you know you don’t have those lines, you still go one hundred percent and what you do is you create these shapes that are organic to you and authentic to you and they touch our hearts because you are dancing from your heart through you body to us and it feels fantastic.”
“It was smooth like butter on a hot muffin,” Len Goodman added. The lifts were in keeping with the routine, they didn’t jar me. There was emotion running through that. It was soft and beautiful and then there was a little bit of passion going on. It was a cracking routine.”
In the end, Ally was the first celebrity to score all nines for her dance, giving her 27 out of 30 and putting her on top of the leader board. While others dancers received a nine here or there throughout the night, Ally and Sasha were the only couple to get three nines.
