Congratulations going out to Amy Duggar King and her husband Dillon King, who have welcomed their first child together, son Daxton Ryan via c-section.
According to People, the little guy came into the world weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz., and measured 20 inches.
Amy took to Instagram to share the news and a photo of her new baby boy. In the photo, Amy and her husband are gazing into each others eyes as they hold their little boy. A blanket covering the new mom reads “God gave us you.”
“He’s absolute perfection!!!,” Amy wrote alongside the photo.
Amy and Dillon had shared with People Now the reason for their son’s name, Daxton Ryan.
“On the King side of the family, all the letters begin with the letter ‘D,’” Dillon said on People Now. “So we were trying to figure out a ‘D’ name that was different, and we landed on Dax, then Daxton.”
“And then Ryan stands for ‘Little King,’ so it was like, we have to!,” Amy added.
The couple announced that they were expecting their first child in April with a message on Instagram.
“We are completely speechless, overly excited and ready for the next chapter as new parents!, ” Amy captioned a photo of her and her husband Dillon lying in the grass surrounded by mylar balloons that spell out baby.
Amy and Dillon married in 2015 at Horton Farms near Bentonville, Arkansas. Amy is the niece of Jim Bob Duggar, the star of 19 Kids and Counting. She is the daughter of Jim Bob’s sister, Deanna Duggar and Terry Jordan.
Congratulations to the happy couple.
