Ariana Grande is getting real. The “Thank U Next” singer took to her Instagram story to share a brain scan that showed levels of PTSD.
“Hilarious and Terrifying,” the singer wrote with the scans. In the post, Ariana shows images of a healthy brain versus a brain with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) saying, “guys.”
She then goes on to say, “my brain” and shows scans of her brain which is clearly lit up, similar to the image with PTSD. She then ends the post writing, “not a joke.”
While the 25-year-old doesn’t let on when the images were taken or what the PTSD is from, many are speculating that it is a result of the 2017 Manchester bombing that took place at her concert and more than 20 fans were killed.
Ariana has spoken openly about dealing with aftermath of the tragic event. In an interview with Elle she revealed her reaction.
“When I got home from tour, I had really wild dizzy spells, this feeling like I couldn’t breathe,” she said. “I would be in a good mood, fine and happy, and they would hit me out of nowhere. I’ve always had anxiety, but it had never been physical before. There were a couple of months straight where I felt so upside down.”
