Arnold Schwarzenegger is showing up for his love child son Joseph Baena by attending his college graduation from Pepperdine University.

In a post on Instagram, Arnold shared a photo of the two men grasping hands while Jospeh sports his cap and gown.

“Congratulations Joseph! Four years of hard work studying business at Pepperdine and today is your big day!,” Arnold wrote.  “You have earned all of the celebration and I’m so proud of you. I love you!”

Joe also posted a series of photos with his classmates, his father and his mother, Mildred Baena, who was the former housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger’s, and shared how grateful he is to graduate.

“Some of the best times of my life are because of this school and the people in these pictures,” Joe wrote. “I am so incredibly grateful to have the privilege to study at and graduate from such a beautiful and high caliber school. I now have my degree in business administration and with that, I believe this is only the beginning of a new road. Let’s see where it takes us!”

Arnold ‘s affair with Mildred and the child they shared came to public attention in 2011, Joseph was 14 at the time. Arnold was married to Maria Shriver, who filed for divorce shortly after.

“You do think about it every so often,” Arnold told Men’s Journal about the affair. “And I can beat myself up as much as I want — it’s not gonna change the situation. So the key thing is, how do you move forward? How do you have a great relationship with your kids?”

Maria and Arnold share four children together, Katherine, who is engaged to actor Chris Pratt, Christina Maria, Patrick Arnold and Christopher Sargent.

Congratulations to Joe on his graduation.
