Just days after the death of actor Luke Perry, the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 are finding themselves mourning once again. Jed Allan, who played the father of Steve Sanders on the show, has passed away. The news was shared by his son Rick Brown on a Facebook page on Saturday (March 9.)
“So sorry to post the very sad news of my fathers passing tonight. He died peacefully and was surrounded by his family and loved so much by us and so many others. Thank you for all who are part of this wonderful tribute to my dad on Facebook,” Rick posted.
“So sad to hear we’ve lost another 90210 cast mate,” Beverly Hills 90210 star Ian Ziering shared on his Instagram page on Sunday (March 10.) “I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve’s father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed.”
Besides his work on 90210, Allan was also known for his work on soap operas such as Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara co-star A. Martinez also headed to Instagram to share his thoughts about the sad news.
“The actor Jed Allan walked on yesterday,” he wrote alongside a picture of him and the actor. “Among his many unforgettable roles was that of CC Capwell, the powerful patriarch around whom the tempests of story swirled in NBC’s daytime drama Santa Barbara for many remarkable years. Jed was a pro’s pro in every sense, and an inspired artist in the moments when the red lights came on — he was fearless, and his work moved millions.”
We send our condolences to all that mourn the loss of Jed Allan.
