For the record, I don’t believe Ryan Reynolds is perfect. I think, on most occasions, he looks perfect and always seems to have something perfectly funny to say, but– no one is perfect.
Blake Lively agrees with me. During a recent interview with Glamour, Blake shared that she, nor Ryan, are perfect and their relationship isn’t perfect either. When asked how she feels about, “this perfect life you have: perfect body, perfect clothes, perfect husband, perfect family, perfect career…,” Blake said, “It’s nonsense. It simplifies people. … It also is [a reminder] that what you see in the media is not real life. The night before an interview, I have complete anxiety: How is this person going to spin me? So when you read, ‘Oh, she’s got a perfect life,’ or ‘Her life is crumbling’—they pick narratives for everyone. And the narratives stick.”
Right on, Blake.
The actual shocking part of the interview was when she revealed that Ryan makes up most of his tweets and they aren’t based on real life.
“He may as well work for the Enquirer. When he says “my daughter,” he’s never, ever talking about her. Everything is a completely made-up scenario. He’ll run them by me sometimes just to make me laugh. But oh, I’m so in love with him when he writes that stuff. I mean, I’m in love with him most of the time, but especially with that.”
So, Ryan didn’t take their daughter to Burning Man?
And he didn’t try to hire a babysitter off of Tinder?
Man. You think you know someone.
