Candace Cameron Bure Stands By Support For “Dear and Close Friend” Lori Loughlin

As more and more information continues to come out surrounding the college admissions bribery scandal, where parents including Fuller House star Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman are implicated in bribing college officials, media outlets continue to get reactions from friends and co-workers.

When Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure, who co-star in Fuller House with Lori,  appeared on the Today Show to compete in a TV duo game segment, host Hoda Kotb took a moment to get more comments from Candace about their co-star’s involvement. Before the game got underway Hoda asked if the ladies had anything more to say about the college admission scandal that involves their beloved co-star.

“It’s too personal to us,” Candace said sitting next to her TV sister Jodie Sweetin. “We’d never want to talk about someone that’s such a dear and close friend. I’ve already said that we are family and we stand by each other and pray for each other and we’ll always be there for each other.”

Candace had already addressed the situation in a roundabout way when she and fellow cast mates accepted an award at the Kids Choice Awards. During her acceptance speech, Candace spoke out about the importance of family.

“Where there’s a lot of heart, there’s a lot of love,” Candace, who plays the character of D.J. Tanner-Fuller, said. “And a loving family sticks together no matter what. They support each other, they encourage one another, they pray for each other and they stand by their side no matter how tough it gets. And a loving family that sticks together, also celebrates the really good times together.”

Bob Saget, who plays Danny Tanner on Fuller House, also reacted to the situation when he was asked by TMZ about Lori Louglin’s involvement.

“You love who you love in your life,” Bob said. “I’m being honest. I’m gonna stop talking. I love who I love, Candace said it really good at the Kids Choice Awards,  you love who you love. I’m on the team with people that I love but life’s complicated. I don’t like talking about it.”
