If you watched this year’s Golden Globe Awards, you might have noticed a slightly awkward moment between “Bohemian Rhapsody” star Rami Malek and Nicole Kidman. And if you didn’t, Twitter certainly did.

The moment occurred when Kidman announced that “Bohemian Rhapsody” had won the award for Best Motion Picture (Drama). Malek took the stage with his fellow castmates and, as Kidman was walking away from the mic, he attempted to get her attention to no avail.

As it turns out, Malek hadn’t even had the chance to see just how awkward the moment was— that is until Jimmy Kimmel showed him the footage during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“I had not seen that,” Malek said after seeing the clip. “But in a moment like that, it was very awkward. I feel like this is probably haunting me on the internet right now.”

Despite this, Malek says he has known Kidman for “years,” and that Keith Urban even showed him some love as a big Queen fan. In fact, he said that many actors and “big names” approached him at the awards and fangirled a bit.

Rami Malek took home his own Golden Globe this year for this role as Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
