It’s been roughly three months since NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt Jr. lost his precious mother Brenda Jackson after a grueling battle with cancer. But on Wednesday (July 17,) the former driver received a sign letting him know that his mom is never too far away.

“Mothers side of the family got together for dinner tonight,” Earnhardt Jr. wrote on his Instagram page next to a picture of a beautiful rainbow.

“We planned to do this monthly as a way to remain connected and a part of each other’s lives. After dinner, we went to spread mom’s ashes on a beautiful hillside on our property as she had requested. As we all were saying our goodbyes at the end of the evening there was a rainbow straight off the front door of the house. What an amazing ending to a special day.”

“She was definitely with us this evening,” his wife Amy Earnhardt commented on the picture.

Sort of gives you the goosebumps, doesn’t it?

Earnhardt Jr.’s sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller also made a mention of what turned out to be a miraculous evening on her Instagram page.

“On the hillside…a beautiful resting spot for Mom at her request,” she wrote alongside a pic of the perfect sunset. “My husband captured this amazing view just as we left this evening from family dinner at Dales and spreading some of her ashes.”
