At a time when everyone could use some good news, Dale Earnhardt Jr. comes to the rescue.
On Wednesday (March 18,) Earnhardt’s wife Amy Earnhardt headed to her Instagram page to share the sweetest of videos, showing her husband’s reaction when she told him that she was expecting a few weeks back.
The video showed Earnhardt walking into their family kitchen and noticing that his daughter Isla Rose was wearing a ‘Super Amazing Sister”’ t-shirt while sitting at the kitchen table.
“What?” Earnhardt said, looking a tad confused. “How do you know it’s a girl?”
“She’s a sister either way,” Amy chuckled.
“Oh she’s a girl,” Earnhardt said, realizing his mistake. “Really?! Oh my God! It’s a joke.”
“Nope,” Amy said. “Not a joke.”
Isla Rose also got the chance to share the good news via a video where she said in the sweetest voice something to the affect, ‘I’m a big sister.’
And yes, it sounded a little more like “I gonna be seester!”
Fans will recall that Isla was born in 2018, just months after the two time Daytona 500 winner retired from full time racing. Since then, Earnhardt joined NBC Sports as a color analyst for their NASCAR broadcasts.
Congratulations to the happy family.
