On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, we often see Ellen successfully prank her special celebrity guests— but now, we see that not all of her pranks go off without a hitch. During a recent episode, the host sent a writer into “This is Us” star Milo Ventimiglia’s dressing room to act as if she was a new employee that didn’t quite understand boundaries. As usual, Milo Ventimiglia showed us that he’s a perfect gentleman, just like his character Jack Pearson.
While Milo Ventimiglia was waiting backstage to appear on the talk show, one of Ellen’s writers showed up to his dressing room to bug him, and “Constance” put on an incredibly uncomfortable act. To make it even more awkward, “Constance” name-dropped two celebrity couples (Mila Kunis-Ashton Kutcher and Kristen Bell-Dax Shepard.)
“Have you met Mila Kunis? Ashton Kutcher? She’s short, but he’s tall. You know that,” the show’s writer uncomfortably said.
Throughout the entire prank, Milo politely continued to show her the door; he insisted that everything in the room was fine. In order to keep the prank going, “Constance” even begged,” I’m going to get fired if I don’t check everything!”
Nevertheless, Milo promised that’d she be fine.
Finally, Milo caught on to the fact that it was all a prank and looked around the room for cameras. Only then did Ellen admit it was an attempted prank, but not until she did her best to keep the gag going. I gotta hand it to you, Milo— you had much more patience than I would have!
