This season of Fuller House was always going to be a sad one for the cast and crew considering that it’s their final season of the Full House spinoff.

But as the cast recently returned to the set, it was evident that the emotions were going to be quite high, especially considering that former co-star Lori Loughlin wasn’t going to be there. The actress, who has long played the role of Aunt Becky on the show,  continues to fight her way through a slew of allegations as part of the college admission scandal.

Bob Saget, who plays Danny Tanner on the much-loved show that now airs on Netflix, seemed quite emotional at the first table read for the final season of the show.

“I’m so proud to have been able to raise these girls and know them since they were … like my girls — like my own daughters,” he said in a video clip co-star Andrea Barber shared on YouTube. “Jodie slept over at the house and (real daughter) Aubrey (Sagget) was her friend. Candace was 10, and we would look forward to our scenes together because they were so real. This was at the very, very beginning.”

The table read was made that more emotional when Candace Cameron Bure, who plays D.J., also shed tears as she expressed her love for all those who are a part of the show.
