The moment that women everywhere have been waiting for happened on Friday morning when Harvey Weinstein turned himself in after being arrested for rape. The Hollywood producer was charged with rape, a criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct for incidents involving two separate women.

According to TMZ, Harvey was handcuffed and surrounded by officers as he was taken to court where he was scheduled to be arraigned.

The complaint, TMZ reports, says Weinstein was charged with “engaging in sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion.”  The rape charge comes from an incident alleged by an unidentified woman.  She alleges that, “defendant kept informant physically against her will in a room and engaged in sexual intercourse with informant by forcible compulsion, to wit, defendant penetrated informant’s vagina with his penis and, at the time of the incident informant had clearly expressed her lack of consent to the act.”

The sex abuse charges come from Lucia Evans, who publicly alleges that the producer forced her to perform oral sex. Bail was set at $10 million and he soon released after paying $1million. The movie mogul is also ordered to wear a monitoring device to track his location.

Many women, including celebrities Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Beckinsale, Mira Sorvino and Angelina Jolie, have come forward alleging that Harvey had made unwanted sexual advances toward them early in their careers.
