Henry Thomas, child star of E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, has been arrested for suspicion of DUI.
According to police as reported by Entertainment Tonight, Thomas was charged with the misdemeanor in Tualatin, Oregon. Police reveal he was taken to Washington County jail.
Officers conducted a field sobriety test with the actor, who was found in a stationary car and arrested on the scene, according to KOIN-TV.
Thomas is best known for his role as Elliott in the 1982 blockbuster film E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, where he starred with Dee Wallace and Drew Barrymore. He went on to appear in films such as Legends of the Fall, Suicide Kings and Gangs of New York. More recently Thomas, now 48, starred in TV roles such as Sons of Liberty, The Haunting of Hill House and Stargirl.
