It’s been nine years since MTV reality show The Hills went off the air. But the disagreements between the cast, and subsequent family members, continue to play out in real life.
Most recently, angry sparks have been flying between Heidi Montag and her sister-in-law Stephanie Pratt. Earlier this week, Pratt went on her Pratt Cast podcast to throw some mean shots at Montag and hubby Spencer Pratt, calling them some of the most toxic people she knew.

“We are not on good terms. We are not on speaking terms, I do not consider them my family,” Stephanie said during the podcast. “We were great. We were absolutely great. You want to know what happened? Heidi.”
As you might imagine, it didn’t take long before Montag struck back.
“It’s been a really hard week for me,” Montag said on her podcast appropriately titled Make Speidi Famous Again. “I had a lot of on-Hills drama with a family member, and that was very challenging and heartbreaking. I felt like there was some very below-the-belt, nasty comments that weren’t even true and that was hard enough to deal with.”
Montag later went on to say that ‘there’s no way I’m not standing up for myself and my family and what I believe in. So, it’s on.’
Granted, this drama just might be a staged pre-curser to the June 24 premiere of the spin-off series “The Hills: New Beginnings” on MTV. Nevertheless, it’s pretty evident that this group has a tough time keeping things amicable.
Can’t we all just get along?
