Actor Hugh Jackman has us dreaming about the New Year with his news that he will be going out on a massive tour in 2019. The much-loved Australian will tour the world starting next summer, bringing some of his most beloved music from his musicals to the stage once again.
“This is a dream come true for me,” the actor said during an interview on Today. “I’ve done it in Australia and now I’m going to go around the world. I’m going to cities all over America, we’re going to Europe, we’re going to the U.K., we’re going back to Australia. I’m singing, I’m dancing, I’m telling stories.”

At 50 years old, Jackman says that the tour is one of those bucket list moments for him.
“I’m on the back nine of my life now, this is about the front nine — the best parts of the front nine,” said Jackman, who is currently starring in the movie The Frontrunner. “I’m gonna sing stuff from The Greatest Showman, from Les Mis, stuff I’ve done on Broadway, stuff that I auditioned for that I didn’t get cast for.”
The tour will not only include music, but stories from his career and impromptu moments that will ensure every show is a little bit different.
“I don’t know about you guys, I love going to a concert where I feel something happens that night that could only happen that night,” says Jackman, who will be bringing his family out on tour with him. “So I try to keep it loose — I’m just gonna have a party.”
