While most of the attention should probably be planted firmly on The Bachelorette Hannah Brown these days, many recent headlines have instead focused in on contestant Jed Wyatt.
And no, that doesn’t show any signs of stopping.
During the hometown visits portion of the dating show on Monday (July 8,) Wyatt’s sister Lily was introduced to the rabid Bachelorette fandom, and no, she didn’t like what she saw portrayed on television.
“They made me look so mean,” Lily said on her Instagram story that night, referring to the moment when she met Brown for the first time.
“I swear y’all our conversation went wayyyy better than this!” she added, referring to the editing of the scenes which included her.
But heck, Lily’s comments did seem a tad harsh.
“I’m very protective over Jed,” Lily told Brown during the show. “And making music makes him so happy. And honestly, like, him potentially falling in love with you, I’m like, I’m not sure that it’s a good thing.”

Of course, Lily’s participation in the show is just a small piece of why Wyatt has been getting so much attention as of late. In recent weeks, it’s been reported that the aspiring musician was actually dating another girl when he left to appear on the show.
The Bachelorette airs on Monday nights on ABC.
